Reilly reallllly struggled. He was all over the place. He clearly needs work to get consistent, but my goodness, how much pain do you tolerate? And now Boki gives up a granny. Need to throw strikes indeed.

See my thread on 4 years and a day ago, where we gave AP 12 walks and lost in 10.

Pitch clock screws us. Runner on first goes and Vastine gets a hit up the middle to put runners on first and third. But wait, the pitch clock hit 0, so the play did not occur. Count goes to 3-2 and our runner back to first. Vastine then strikes out.
Still, got a run on a Polk Hr. 5-2 after 4.

Hewett has really struggled since Texas. He hit the ball hard practically every time up in Arlington. He has not made much solid contact since. Good opportunity wasted there in the 5th.

I had a snipe hunt scheduled for 7 PM. Glad I postponed at the last minute. Those snipes can wait till tomorrow night.

Re: Austin Peay Game on SEC+ Network?
Reilly struggled with control and walking batters last year, and is no better so far this season. He's given up 4 walks and 4 hits in 4.2 innings, but has accounted for 6 runs.
And poor Sam is a HR-giving machine. 4 HRs in 5.1 IP, and 8 runs allowed. I realize Corbs and Scott Brown want him to work through it, but yowza.

Is Reilly the 2023 version of Hugh Fisher? Great stuff if harnessed but just really poor controlAuricGoldfinger wrote: ↑Wed Mar 01, 2023 9:28 am Reilly struggled with control and walking batters last year, and is no better so far this season.
