Vastine leads off 7th with his 2nd oppo single, then tags to 2nd on deep Bulger F8...but is called out for leaving 1st too soon. Corbs talks with home plate ump, play is under review.

For those able to watch, how are the balls and strikes in this one?

I'm in the park, don't have a good angle and they show very few replays. Having said that, Moore has HBP two Frogs in a row. I believe there have been 9 total HBP by both teams. All to say, calling balls & strikes today has got to be a bitch.

Another line drive 2-run double. The guys who were HBP scored. Followed by an RBI single. Pitching has not been good today. 10-3 Frogs.

Is it too early to wonder about how much longer Corbin's tenure will be?

Frogs running at will on Bulger. He is not a particularly good defensive catcher.

TCU is like Motown in the 60s...the hits keep on coming. Leadoff double in bottom 8th.

Vastine oppo field HR, 3rd hit today the other way. He has 3 of Vandy's 5 hits. Not enough, 11-4 final. Sigh...

In the past month, you've talked about replacing Candice Lee and now Corbin. Is there anyone you don't want to show to the door?

Not so fast my (either) friend. Corbs is like 62 years old (?) and his VU coaching tenure is 20 or 21-ish years depending if you count that one covid season. He's not going to coach until he's 99 years old...whether our team's pitching trends upward or south. There is something to be said for going out on or near the top and not pull a Joe Namath-with-bad-knees-trying-to-play-QB-for-the-Rams-in-futility-at-the-end.

Rough day at the park.

But the venue is fantastic. I’m staying at the Hilton across the interstate and everyone here is super friendly and thankful for opposing fans coming into town. It’s been a great experience so far. Not convinced the “fan zone” upgrade was worth it but hey - you live and learn. Trip over to the stockyards and Billy Bob’s was fun.

Onward and upward. Tomorrow’s a new day. Let’s go beat some Cowboys!!!
