The Decision Live Stream
Re: The Decision Live Stream
I feel like i've spent seven months waiting for someone to confirm that i'm being dumped
Re: The Decision Live Stream
No doubt. The father kept saying "I" on all the reasons why they did it this way. Sure doesn't seem like it was solely Romeo's decision. Best of luck to him
Re: The Decision Live Stream
IU was the path of least resistance. He gets to soak up the adulation for another year before going pro. He's not super concerned about the fact that they'll suck or that he'll spend the entirety of his college career on the free throw line.

Yeah, but look at the studs we have that chose you (VU) already...SCSA wrote:I feel like i've spent seven months waiting for someone to confirm that i'm being dumped

I don’t think we are reading the same comments. Not reading any “saltiness”. Best of luck next year though.RedBull wrote:Dang some of you sound salty af. Wish the kid the best and move on. He basically did what Garland did to us. Grow up.

Puhleaze. He didn't make the best basketball choice. That's fair to say.

Well, we were all offended (and also somewhat amused) when IU fans started popping up badmouthing Vanderbilt and Bryce Drew on social media. And the ridiculous conspiracy theories. Yet we didn’t see any of that from Kansas fans.
Best to Romeo. Seems like a nice kid. But no Vandy fans also became Indiana fans in this process.

Re: The Decision Live Stream
Well I hope he averages 30 a game and IU loses them all. I posted at least a month ago about his dad promoting a big event with the mayor and such thus seeming to indicate his choice was IU. Should say his dad's choice as I think pop wanted the fame by association and pushed hard for Indiana. Some of the IU fans seemed to suffer from p..is envy given the nasty tone of their comments. Looking forward to next season which I think will be great fun!

Great player and smart kid but he took WAY TOO LONG to make his decision. I hate that we missed out on him but there has been a lot of attention seeking going on there.
I hope Romeo's Dad enjoys his fifteen minutes of fame in IN.

Yeah, the IU fans saying Romeo should go to IU because he would be set for life in Indiana after his playing career is over were off-base. It's his old man who's set for life in Indiana. If Romeo goes on to star in the NBA, odds are he will settle in the city where he stars, and unless he plays for the Pacers, that won't be a city in Indiana.vandybrad wrote:Unbelievable! Get on with it. Guess they'll bring on Bobby Knight next. If his Momma is going to speak, I'll cut it off. Dad is saying he wanted this hoopla! What an egomaniac dad is. Guess when he stays home we'll know why.

Several saying it's his dad's decision. I wish the kid the best we'll be fine.
Re: The Decision Live Stream
It was completely the dad's decision.
No wonder Duke, UK, etc., backed off. Dad sounds like a mare.

Do you have a life, sweetheart? I may be salty, but I'm not the kind of person who goes onto another board in this situation telling them how they're supposed to feel and act. I'll take salty over bullying piece of crap anyday.RedBull wrote:So saltySCSA wrote:It was completely the dad's decision.

It'll be ok. You have a great class coming in. Vandy will be just fine.
