If you've ever had back problems you can empathize with the "paralyzed one day, totally fine another" randomness.

Re: Tennessean (premium): Candice Lee assesses state of football, basketball & baseball programs
Premium pablum. Goes with the territory. Even if her actual take was "Stackhouse was on thin ice at midseason, but since then he's mostly restored my confidence. Mostly..." she'd still publicly express positivity because tactically it's the smart play. There is a reason all ADs talk like ...

Re: UGA Wreck is getting uglier every day
From any perspective legal/ethical the question of oversight and who knew (or should have known) what might have been going on but turned a deaf ear is paramount. A wrongful death action could bring out a lot about the Ga football program that it would not want unearthed, as could a criminal trial....

Re: Jordan Deserves More PT
He's had the nagging back thing.
As a fellow misbehaving back sufferer, I can relate somewhat. It's strangely unpredictable. Sometimes it doesn't bother you at all; sometimes it's completely disabling.
I'd guess JW was having a good back night last night.

Re: "Luck" Statistic
My thought on this has always been if you let the game to whether one shot goes in or doesn't go in, you're putting your fate in the hands of luck. This particularly applies when the supposedly better team (or fans of that team) deride their opponent's win because it was 'just luck.' Yeah, well if y...

Re: UGA Wreck is getting uglier every day
While "have a good time" for large state school jocks could easily include a trip to a titty bar, I doubt it was supposed to include death and destruction. Maybe some of you guys with a law degree can chime in on UGa's chance of being on the bad end of a civil suit in this. The level of d...

Re: UGA Wreck is getting uglier every day
Was it in her job description that she was required to get drunk to well over TWICE the legal limit and then go driving like a crazy fool in a giant 5400 pound SUV? Whatever happened to personal responsibility? Really? You can't imagine how this can be part of the job, and yet not be in the written...

Re: The way it should be...
I see "bad losses" is nowhere on your list, which we'd be delighted with this year. But some other bubble year, if a team that got beat by very bad teams got in ahead of us, we'd be wanting to shuffle the rules again. Margin of victory/loss seems pointless to us this year, because a lot of...

Re: Still work to do ... for the NIT
I don't care about the NIT, the only way that matters is I guess that the younger players could get more practice. Nobody remembers who won the NIT the last year or before. Nobody other than the team and the fans, yeah. But that's true of the Sweet 16 too. You pretty much have to be a final four te...

Re: Good Bye NCAA Maybe NIT What a bad performance
Bigger question is, can we get an NCAA caliber roster by start of next season? It needs some serious work without Robbins. Even with Robbins this season, the group was not really that close to tourney (barring a miracle run). I know guys will improve through summer but also risk some leave. Pure sp...

Re, Jones: I remember being pretty excited going into a season with Damian and WBIV. Watched an early season game on CBS and the analyst was summarizing the key starters for both teams. For DJ he had "low hoops IQ" and for WBIV he had "careless with the ball." I remember thinking...

It's amazing how much Stackhouse has learned about coaching since Robbins' ankle got better.
Maybe Robbins' doctor gave him a few tips.

Re: Does the NET Rating kill our NCAA chances?
Winning out the regular season is such a tall.order. I don't think any of the remaining opponents are invincible but they VU isn't invincible either. The likelihood of having an off game over a five game stretch is pretty high. I wonder how the VU fan base would react to an NIT bid at this point. Tw...

I was just looking through the remaining schedule this morning and figured at Florida to be one of the harder ones to win.
That was a solid SEC road win. I know this is not the Final Four Florida of old, but they're not bad and that's a tough place to win.
