Ryan Weathers

I went to watch him today. Pitched a no hitter thru 5 innings. Was hitting 93 fairly easy. Loretta won 10 -0 because of the Mercy Rule. I really don’t think he was putting forth a maximum effort. Hit 98 once. I sat with the scouts and had some good discussions. He will pitch again Friday in the sectional.

What was the thought of the scouts on him actually coming to campus as opposed to going pro? I would say 85-15 going pro v VU.

I put it at 75-25 turning pro. They wouldn’t commit on that. I talked mainly with the Royals (had 2 guys there) and Nationals. I know Toronto was there and Minnesota. Probably 12 to 17 scouts there.
