Weekday Parking

Post by Georgiadore »

Where's the best place to park for weekday games? best as in short walk, and free or not real expensive. Are the employee lots on the other side of Natchez Trace from the stadium available in late afternoon (say, for next Friday's 4:00 pm game against Duke)?

Those employee lots that you mentioned are where we usually park. 4 pm might be a little tricky in terms of available spaces but you can probably find something. Alternatively there is a parking garage on (I believe) Highland Avenue and 25th.

I have parked in the 25th Avenue Garage for every home game that I attended in the last several years (which is most of them), including the early season weekday games that start at 4 o'clock. So far, I have never had to pay, and I have not received any parking tickets.

Especially for the non-conference games, parking in Lot 1 on Natchez Trace is rarely a problem unless one gets there late, and I drive a 3/4 ton crewcab truck. Ignore the signs about parking in numbered spaces as they are there for football.
