Florida looking shellshocked early
“It isn’t their day.”
Ump really screwing Florida pitcher. If I were rooting for Florida - I’d be very upset.
After 2 innings, they are lucky to only be down 3-1. Not the way you want to start an elimination game.

Re: Florida looking shellshocked early
But 6 runs in the third turn things in a hurry.
I give Florida credit. They looked left for dead.
Good teams pull out of a death spiral. They did.
The wind is blowing out. I think it will take double digits to win this one.

Re: LSU looking shellshocked midly
Rarely have I seen a game turn on a dime like this one.
Ump continues to make life miserable for pitchers.
LSU fielding is also contributing to the meltdown.

Re: Florida looking shellshocked early
Did anyone see Christian Little pitch? Came in the game during the 6th. Got rocked like all the other LSU pitchers:
IP H R ER BB K HR PC-ST ERA
1.2 4 4 4 2 1 1 41-24 7.79
Interesting game. UF almost lost the bubble with Waldrep who just barely survived his bad start. Can't believe UF coach brought him back in the 3rd b/c he was horrible today. UF got lucky. Credit to them though, they feasted on some crummy LSU pitching. Tomorrow's game should be interesting.

Re: Florida looking shellshocked early
I think there should be more time between the first round of the CWS and the finals so the two-out-of three games could feature the teams' best pitchers.

Re: Florida looking shellshocked early
Has my hearing gone dyslexic or did I hear L.S.U.'s coach describe Skenes and Crews as "better players than people" in his post game interview tonight? I guess if I were coach, or an L.S.U. fan, I would be okay with that in these times.

If he said that it is non-coach speak but sends a very clear message.GrumpyOldDore wrote: ↑Tue Jun 27, 2023 12:49 am Has my hearing gone dyslexic or did I hear L.S.U.'s coach describe Skenes and Crews as "better players than people" in his post game interview tonight?
