That's the only kind of situation I can figure. Did the 2nd base ump signal a catch for an out in CF or not? I don't know. That needs to be determined to understand what the runners did and why. Crazy play with no explanation...kinda chickenshit by the umps and the league office.

On the one replay they showed it looked like Bradfield left on the first touch by the CF, the legal, proper time to leave.

On the quickly shown, fuzzy replay from LF to resume the telecast in bottom 6th, the 2nd & 3rd base umps didn't look to leave their spots or make a call on the fly ball. The 1st base ump appeared to run into the outfield but ran from view before he made any call. Clearly the hitter and the runners on 1st & 2nd were not aware of a safe call on the play at the fence. Sounds like they called Austin out for passing the runner and Schrek on a force at 3rd. Poorly officiated, though to fair, it was a really bizarre play.

All those lying South Carolina fans trying to say Schreck didn't make that catch!!

Bases loaded, double off the wall, and we get 1 run? No wonder my butt cheeks hurt. If that costs is the game … boy oh boy.

Yes! Seems like the right move to me. Carter & Reilly were/have been spectacular picking up Holton. Time for 2 innings of MaldaNoNo!

Our arms really came in and settled down this crazy SC lineup. With a fluke play we should have been up even more. Nice bounce back so far.

Carter & Reilly, members of the pitching staff with no depth (sorry), got 19 outs while facing only 22 hitters, with nothing even close to a scoring threat. Carter got 7 outs, Reilly 12, about what you would hope or expect to get from them, setting up Maldo the Elder to get the last 6 outs. Carter & Reilly are the game MVPs regardless how this turns out.
