Futrell had a good inning. Throwing strikes. Was sort of done-in by the Vastine error followed by an infield hit, but gets out three with no issues (though ball three looked awfully like strike three). 1-0 good guys.

So we brag on Vastine and he has defensive screw ups now in successive games. Come on Vastine, get it together.
Yeah, sorry I started that post
The worst part of that error is that it doubled Futrell's 1st inning pitch count from 9 to 18.

I even said this might be the best infield ever. Oh well.

P.S. These announcers are making me gag.
The announcers have gotten progressively worse from game 1 to today, and they were bad on Thursday.
Three up, three down thanks to a 6-4-3 double play. Runner gets on with a weak single to right, but the DP cuts him down. Time for some runs, Vandy, and shut these announcers' mouths.
I don't know where the 13 run per game Commodores went, but this weekend they have looked weak. And I didn't think Missouri had THAT good of a pitching staff. Kentucky pounded them last week.
Well that was a sweet inning. 3 up 3 down and quickly. Or to quote the Mizzou color guy: "FUTRELL LOOKS to BE in toTAL conTROL." (emphasis added where he did)
4 up 3 down. This time an error by Noland. He is not having a very good series.
Come on Dores, lets get some runs. This isn't Sandy Kofax out there pitching.
