What is the significance of a "white" out? I understand a blackout as we are Black & Gold.....

I would guess it's because the team will be wearing white, but that's just a guess with no experience to back this up.

A white out looks really good on television, if a lot of folks participate.

White to match our uniform and to make UAB cold as snow.

I wish our uniforms had more gold in them...

Uniforms are the old throwback and were, of course, the home whites, but the road uniforms I think have gold and black just like back in the day. I just hope we win: this is a big step for the program if we can get to the semis and win the whole thing. Last VU coach to do that also was a former UNC player, one Eddie Fogler.

I'll be there, with my family, and we will wear white, and cheer for the team.

But just FYI, I just bought 3 single game tickets, and got the 2 emails confirming my purchase, and at no time did they say anything about there being a white out.

Is it possible that the person who does twitter for the athletic department knows that the game is a white-out, but the person who does the website AND the person in charge of single game ticket sales don't?

Just know that not everyone does twitter, and not everyone checks Vandymania.

So let's not be horribly disappointed if not everyone is wearing white.

I apologize in advance, I will be there loudly cheering but I honestly do not own a white Vandy shirt. I have a closet full of black and gold. And white Vandy shirts don't exist in any regular stores. I'm sure the bookstore has them, but I'm barely going to have time to get to tipoff, much less make a side trip to the bookstore. If someone gives me one I'll be glad to swap out my black star V t-shirt I'll be wearing

I would think most folks have some sort of white shirt. If you don't have a Vandy shirt, just wear white. If everyone is wearing some sort of white, it does look awesome on tv. And when the players look into the crowd, they can see the support.

Unfortunately my granddaughter had to leave Memorial Gym with her parents late in the first half when VU lead 27 to 22 (which was before they started showing other fans who had brought their infants on the big screens).

Forget free throws ...that's why we lost!
