So after the 2020 season, Auburn paid $21 Million to get rid of Gus Malzahn for going 67-35 (.656), 35-27 (.585) in the SEC, and 3-5 against Saban, and two years later they are replacing him with a coach with baggage from his last two jobs, went 39-25 (.609), 19-21 (.475), and 2-3 against Saban at Ole Miss? His actual record at Ole Miss after they vacated their wins was 10-25, and 6-21. Sounds like they would have been much better off keeping Malzahn.

Here is a question about Freeze that I've often wondered. He had 18 calls on his phone to or from an escort service. Was he employing them for his purposes, or for recruits? I'm betting on the latter.

He got Ole Miss in trouble with the NCAA and they had sanctions against them.

But the Ole Miss fans and athletic department didn’t have a problem with that. They were going to let him keep his job despite the sanctions.

Until they investigated all the calls he made on his work phone and found out he’d been calling escorts. That was an embarrassment to the university and he was fired then.

Why did he use his work phone for that? That would be for cell phone personal use only.

Freeze is a stupidity time bomb waiting to detonate. He has the discretion and self control of a toddler. If he'd been anywhere other than Liberty, he would have been fired over his tweeting the woman suing their AD.

Should we do an over/under on how long it takes for Hugh to get in trouble? I'd put it at 3.5 years.
