15 to 4 on offensive rebounds?

Post by historybill »

Seriously? That's almost impossible.

Some of you know more about basketball than I do. To me, that says a lot about coaching and hustle. I mean, I know Vanderbilt's team is smaller than the other team, but do Vanderbilt's players not block out?

I noticed that too. I watched the game. I’d actually say we did a good job of boxing out. To be fair, a decent number of those were long rebounds where you were better off on the outside than inside. Combined with the fact I saw several blatant push offs by SC that weren’t called probably accounts for the difference. They were just more aggressive. We should have recognized that and been more aggressive on the offensive glass ourselves. It was SPJ’s turnovers that killed us.
