Vandy never gave up on him, but he was very quiet about it all. He would be an incredible addition. He's the caliber of athlete who doesn't feel the need to be in a hurry.
That makes two that Vandy is "waiting" on that I know of... him and Daniel Martin.

What will it be for the X-man? Virginia Tech would effectively be "staying home" for him, and Brent Pry and Chris Marve, good folks all around and good recruiters, are now among the ones working on him. On the other hand... is the fact that he abruptly moved up his decision a good sign for Vandy? (Did Vandy tell him, "If you don't sign now, we can't hold your spot open"?) Originally he was saying he wouldn't decide until around Christmas-- which is after the early signing period ends.
Xayvion plays on both sides of the ball... where would Vandy use him? The fact that David Raih has been his primary recruiter suggests to me they want him as a receiver.
Despite the fact that he only has 3 stars on "the services", I think he would become one of the two or three biggest gems in this class. Cross your fingers for 1 pm ET today!

Disappointing... looks like "#FirstCla22" is going to sit at 23 after the early signing period, but there's still a lot to be excited about.
