Re: New commit: Dawson Alters, OL
This late-night commitment kind of caught everyone off guard, as far as I can tell. Sounds like he is a center who might double as a long snapper. Wasn't highly recruited, but fills a need.
What other surprises may be in store?

Re: New commit: Dawson Alters, OL
He says on Twitter he will be "signing" with Vandy on Wednesday, which generally means a letter-of-intent, which implies a scholarship offer.

Re: New commit: Dawson Alters, OL
If you look him up on 247, it looks like he's a PWO. It doesn't indicate that we offered him a scholarship. I'm guessing he's "committing/signing" to a guaranteed spot on the team from the coaches.
Re: New commit: Dawson Alters, OL
Let's hope it is a PWO. Undersized centers usually don't command a Power 5 scholarship.

Had to laugh at the post. Thinking of 6'2" 260 as being undersized given the most I have weighed in my entire life, beginning about age 50, is 180.

Congrats OldDude for staying slim, unless you're 4'6". 6'2" 260 is big in your kitchen but gets pretty small pushing against 6'6" 320 all day.
