Having been successful at convincing A.J. Swann away from his commitment to Maryland, and Trudell Berry away from his commitment to Marshall, here are some other guys committed other places that Vandy is trying to sway this week:
- Jeffrey Ugo (was committed to Utah, has already de-committed and is considering Vandy)
- Tucker Holloway (Virginia Tech commit, new coach there, Vandy trying to convince him to join his Rabun Gap teammates committed to Vandy)
- Ja'Dais Richard (was committed to TCU, has already de-committed and the tea leaves say Vandy)
- Savion Riley (Duke commit, coaching search going on there)
It works both ways. Darren Agu has been committed to Vandy for months, but is taking official visits to Tennessee and Georgia Tech. Vandy hopes to hang on to him.

The level of athlete this coaching staff is bringing in this recruiting cycle is different than years past. Bodes well for the future. 2-10 and now will be bringing in the best class since James Franklin, and may not be too far off from that if they can land Daniel Martin and a couple more.

Would love to see some "stop gap" older transfers come in. An improved season next year certainly will help next year's recruiting.
