Rocker allows 3HR
Bradfield strikes out 3 times
Carter Young makes 2 errors.

I guess it's good to get all of that out of your system in one awful night.

I would argue that Tim Corbin now has his "Poster Game" to pull out whenever the team looks to be dozing off. Nothing is a given in the SEC. I`m sure all the teams Vandy will play have studied pitching motions and mound routines on all of our starters and main relievers. Georgia looked like they were ready with their swings last night no matter who was pitching. With all of the injuries we are experiencing right now, we seem to be a little out of sync. But, as Tim would probably say, No excuses, next man up.

Arkansas lost 16-1 to Alabama at home just three weeks ago.

It's baseball.

Maybe a little extra pressure on Leiter tonight. If one ace gets knocked around -- that's baseball. If both aces get tagged on consecutive nights, that might be a little concerning. Best case, we're still depending on TBA for a series win. (For the record, I think Leiter will do well.)

One of my favorite things about baseball is that it is so damn unpredictable. Dave is right--if you said any of these things would happen, most of us would say, yeah it's possible, but really? Surely not in the same game? Surely not in the same game with double-digit walks by UGA pitching that led to only 2 runs by the best offense in the SEC? Baseball is an amazing, complex, weird game on any given day, but over the course of a long season, it tends to balance out and normal expectations play out. Last night was painful. I suspect in about 7 weeks, last night's result will be long forgotten...let's certainly hope so.

Problem is Tuesday we did not play any better so it is 2 games, the injuries and probably some mental letdown, but the loss will get their attention - just hope that it does not shake confidence of this talent, but young and injury plaques team.

The key injuries are critical in SEC play for sure. Hope they return sooner than later.
