I swear I was thinking this yesterday morning. It would be nice if Corbs could call up the ISU coach and ask what they saw before other teams call and get the tip.

The good thing, other than the win, was that Jake Eder came into a high leverage situation and pumped dominating stuff. He has had a couple of nice outings of late, which was arguably more important than seeing Brown with another shut down.

Same with King. He has pitched well his last two outings.

If the opposition can pick it up by studying video, our pitching coach should know it....he sees him everyday!

Or signs could have been stolen?

They, obviously, didn’t steal signs from any of our other pitchers....Brown tipped them off.

This theory sounds dubious to me. Brown throws mostly fastballs. Even if the ISU batters KNEW he was going to throw a fastball, and acted accordingly, they should not have been able to rough him up the way they did if he had even halfway-decent stuff.

I agree totally....most hitters know what he’s going to throw, but still cannot hit it. It really doesn’t make much sense....maybe it was just an off day. He had another similar outing against Arkansas, but has basically been unhittable in all other appearances.

Let's chalk it up to a bad night and move on after learning whatever can be learned. We need Tyler
