Re: Tyler Brown may have tipped off pitches in rare bad outing
I swear I was thinking this yesterday morning. It would be nice if Corbs could call up the ISU coach and ask what they saw before other teams call and get the tip.
The good thing, other than the win, was that Jake Eder came into a high leverage situation and pumped dominating stuff. He has had a couple of nice outings of late, which was arguably more important than seeing Brown with another shut down.

They, obviously, didn’t steal signs from any of our other pitchers....Brown tipped them off.

This theory sounds dubious to me. Brown throws mostly fastballs. Even if the ISU batters KNEW he was going to throw a fastball, and acted accordingly, they should not have been able to rough him up the way they did if he had even halfway-decent stuff.

I agree totally....most hitters know what he’s going to throw, but still cannot hit it. It really doesn’t make much sense....maybe it was just an off day. He had another similar outing against Arkansas, but has basically been unhittable in all other appearances.geeznotagain wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 2:57 pm This theory sounds dubious to me.
