Re: UK game thread
Have I mentioned tonight how I loath and despise SEC officials. That out of bounds gift to KY was disgraceful.
Cannot believe I am saying this but, I hope TN tears them a new one.

Re: UK game thread
Worst missed call of the year. Guy literally standing out of bounds.

That was a bad call. But not what lost us the game. Rebounding was the reason.FayetteDore wrote: ↑Fri Mar 11, 2022 9:26 pmI don't normally criticize the officials but even the announcers agree. The replay showed it plain as day. Did the officials just not look back far enough?
Also as good as Pippen has been, 2-17 won't win us many games

Great game by the team but the fatigue was damaging at the end…well sports fans I believe our ticket to the NIT was punched tonight if not last night…and I believe this team is capable of making a deep run…

Re: UK game thread
Rebounds a factor, sure, but they out hustled us as a team and out shot us and didn't fold when we scrapped back. With Pippen tired and shut down, we probably could have looked to Stute more too.Vandy187187 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 11, 2022 9:28 pmThat was a bad call. But not what lost us the game. Re: UK game thread
That no-call on the UK out of bounds plus the end of first-half 3-point shot uncalled foul may have ended up costing us the game.

Plus the points they scored after the play was blown dead, plus the tech they called when the ref ran into stack in the coaching box, plus all the other normal trash calls that go against us.

KY is the most protected team in the country!! They are talented and DON'T need it! I hope UT drills them also!!! HATE Ky & Calapari AND the Ky fans!

Re: UK game thread
What I saw was that KY played great defense, especially on Pippen. Their players are athletic. As the announcers said, KY was prepared to deny us use of the baseline to find open players elsewhere. We made too many mistakes, often caused by their defense, throwing the ball away. The in bound error towards the end of the first half was inexcusable. I believe it was Stute who rushed the in bound pass, only to have it intercepted for an easy layup.
Jordan Wright was the hero for the good guys. He kept us in the game. He has made great strides under Stack.
I am proud of the effort our coach and team made against what I think is superior talent. The KY center was not as dominant against us as against other teams. I look forward to Vandy playing in the NIT (hopefully) and to next year. Stack keeps improving our team, I believe.

Re: UK game thread
The refs wanted to make sure (probably under instruction of the SEC) that we didn't get too close. An empty arena of KY fans on Saturday and Sunday would make the SEC look bad.
