I'm not watching live only the stats. Looks like Nebraska is hitting the ball and putting men on base and VU just has solo 3 bombs and not much else.
Bad pitching by us or just good hitting by Nebraska?

Austin 1st out in 9th, makes like a Nebraska hitter and lines a ball to deep RF. Rightfielder misplayed it a bit--yet again--but reached up and snagged it. Noland Ks looking and Espy an easy 5-3. And with that, Nebraska--the MUCH better team today--wins.

Ugh, that was a stinker. Hope it was an outlier, and not indicative of what our team really is. Lost by 2, but could have been significantly worse.

It looks like our mediocre hitting from 2022 has continued into 2023. Meanwhile many of our opponents are stocking up with HITTERS. We are having to largely rely on our pitching to hold the opponent down since our hitters can't produce enough runs. If the pitching is off, the result is what happened today.
