Re: Kentucky Thursday
Stephen Scott 2-for-3 with two long home runs.
Color commentator Doug Flynn, a former Kentucky player from Lexington and MLBer with the Reds, Mets and Expos, said some nice things about Scott Sanderson and Scotti Madison.

Here's a photo of Walker Buehler with Goose Jones on the left and Preacher Franklin, one of the whistlers, on the right. Jones and Franklin are 2 of the most loyal Vandy baseball fans around.

Re: Kentucky Thursday
Hmmm.... When was the last time we coughed up a 9 run lead? To a last place team?

Re: Kentucky Thursday
The last few innings have been pretty embarrassing. I think the strike zone has shrunk, by the way. But our bullpen continues to suck giant weenies.

Re: Kentucky Thursday
We have officially coughed up a 9 run lead. Fundamentals? Fundamentals? Bullpen? All lacking. Did I mention this was embarrassing?

Re: Kentucky Thursday
you mean VU is conceding 9-10. We may win but this is the worst we have played all year and relief pitching...geeznotagain wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2019 6:15 pm It appears to me that UK is more or less conceding this game.

Re: Kentucky Thursday
Well darn, we've let UK back into this one. 10-9 them in the top of the 8th. We've just allowed too many walks and this allows them to get an occasional hit.

Re: Kentucky Thursday
If they cannot play any more tonight, is it game over (and we lose), or would play in this game be resumed tomorrow?
