Great piece on Walker
...having watched the Braves game and at the risk of upsetting some Braves fans here, had Bellinger not booted that ball in CF before the intentional walk, Buehler doesn't give up a run in that start either. He was cruising...and then continued to cruise.

Nonsense. Instead of second and third with the pitcher on deck and two out it would have been first and second with the pitcher on deck and two out. Maybe he would have pitched to Culberson instead of walking him to get to Newcomb or maybe not - who knows. Bottom line is he could have gotten out of it either way by not walking a particularly terrible hitting pitcher. I think Walker is great, but there's no need to re-write history.

That's a lovely opinion and you're entitled to it, as am I. That being said, the intentional walk broke his rhythm, as it does many young pitchers. Again, you're welcome to your opinion, but it's easy to tell you've never been a pitcher or coached pitchers.
