I completely agree.

A school should be required to have a plan in place (approved by NCAA or whoever) to ensure that the opposing team can exit the field safely. Execute this, and the fans can storm the field/court.

Does anybody have video of the last time VU studemts “ stormed” Dudley ( in an orderly, single file line)

I love the point about insuring opponents & staff etc are allowed to safely exit

Perhaps have a time frame where say if you wait 5 minutes to enter court/field its a 5k fine instead of 500k

Whoa! Better not let charleston see this. When a certain team's fans stormed the field after its bama win last year, it offended his tender sensibilities so much that he called it "unsportsmanlike and deplorable!"

you don't see them storm Cameron because they are accustomed to winning - my daughter and granddaughter were at the game and the granddaughter went on the field after picture was taken. They enjoyed it last night. Celebrations are fine and when you have been there enough you don't need to storm the court and field: I stand by my comment that good sportsmanship dictates one celebrate in the stands and have the team come in front of the stands to receive the adulation they have earned. Maybe UT will win enough so that storming the field is not required, but they aren't there yet and probably never will be. My hope is that the next time we beat UT in Nashville the team will sing the alma mater with the students - soak up the celebration and then run over to the west side for another encore celebration. I bet Fayette, you endorse the bottle throwing etc that UT does as well, right?

Nice deflection charleston, but we aren't talking about bottle throwing, which IS deplorable and reprehensible, NOR about storming Cameron. No one storms the field after an expected or routine win -- but thanks for stating the obvious in your deflection

Glad your granddaughter enjoyed the game and that she was able to storm the field with her fellow Duke fans. I'm all for letting the kids and the kids at heart celebrate.


But since you mentioned the Dukies not storming Cameron, there WAS this, which by your definition above ("you don't see them storm Cameron because they are accustomed to winning") means that VU MBB is NOT accustomed to winning?
