Scoreboard for 2023
As I've followed the construction cams, and I looked again at the renderings of what the North and South end zones will look like ultimately, it brings up an interesting question for 2023: the scoreboard/video board.
Has anyone heard of a temporary scoreboard, or know the plan? I've heard Candice talk about how none of the construction will affect playing in First Bank Stadium this fall, but I haven't heard anyone address that. It's kind of important...obviously they're going to have to have something, and just over a month away now. Seems like any type of temporary scoreboard would get in the way of the construction, and the renderings I've seen it looks like they're ultimately integrated in with the new construction in those 2 end zones/corners. Not to mention the fact that (awful as it was) all of the speakers in the stadium were integrated into what was the scoreboard as well.

Well, at least that would keep our blood pressure down from watching instant replays as we get screwed over with calls

You do ask some very good questions.MtJulietVUFan wrote: ↑Tue Jul 18, 2023 8:24 am

Maybe the construction crane currently in the north end zone could be used on weekends to hoist a scoreboard: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Rc5BSwckWI.

Re: Scoreboard for 2023
Very important to note, I'm not complaining. I'm excited about the project, we'll deal with some oddities and inconveniences for the short-term. It's legitimately just a question that to be honest I didn't even think about till it hit me how close we are to playing a game in that stadium and clearly scoreboard/sound is going to have to be something "temporary" for 2023.AuricGoldfinger wrote: ↑Tue Jul 18, 2023 8:33 amYou do ask some very good questions.MtJulietVUFan wrote: ↑Tue Jul 18, 2023 8:24 am
