Indiana State is 11-1 in the Missouri Valley Conference and just swept Belmont in Nashville. They have some good non-conference wins (although they did get swept by UK), and are 22-12 overall. The Sycamores have traditionally given Vanderbilt fits over the years (VU needed two late errors in the 11th inning to win last year), and the game falls in a dangerous place on the schedule for Vandy.

Terrific play by Polk in LF cutting off a hit far to his right and throwing the hitter out at 2nd trying to stretch to a double for the 3rd out in the 1st. The runner wanted a review, even though he slid directly into the tag and was tagged again when he popped briefly off the bag. Kinda funny...

Next guy singles the runner home from 2nd and after a walk, another RBI single. 2-0 ISU because of the wild pitch. Sigh...
