Grambling wound up 24-9 and won the SWAC regular season.
Whereas UT had a bad regular season loss to Colorado that didn’t seem to negatively impact them at all. Colorado wound up 17-16.
Vanderbilt shouldn’t have lost to Grambling, but …

Colorado is a far better team than Grambling State. The difference in record is exclusively due to the conferences in which they play and overal SOS.Golddore68 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 13, 2023 2:59 pm Grambling wound up 24-9 and won the SWAC regular season.

UT went 11-2 in their non-conference schedule and had the same conference as us. Their only non-conference losses were to Arizona at Tuscon and Colorado in Nashville, and they also beat Kansas, Texas, USC and Maryland in non-conference. They also beat 2-#1 seeds, while our best win was UT.
So even if you ignore the context of the difference between the records of UT and Grambling St., UT did a whole lot more with their opportunities than we did.
I get that everyone is disappointed, but I don't understand why we are throwing logic out of the window. UT had a really good team this season that also lost a bunch of close game. We had a good team that managed to win a bunch of close games. Our resume is not that comparable.

Please give all this a rest. We have an important game tomorrow night against a very worthy, comparable institution. Forget Grambling and let's hope team is focused on Yale.
