Not confirmed as yet, but the former Vandy RB and current RB coach is reportedly leaving for Atlanta.

Yes, I would assume a promotion if true.

Ken Niumatalolo is looking for a job and used to be an RB coach. Was a HC in a run-heavy offense.
Call him

From the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:
McKenzie also coached with new offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner, who also was a high school star in metro Atlanta (Parkview High), at Arkansas State from 2016-18.
That Key and Faulkner could hire McKenzie away would seem a significant move. Not only is McKenzie a Vanderbilt graduate, but he was teammates with Commodores coach Clark Lea and part of a program that appears to have momentum at the end of Lea’s second season.

As this says, VU is home. I know he is from the Atlanta area, but man, that is really tough to not have him. I don't know that its a bad look necessarily, you never know what is driving someone to make a career move. One could take it as a sign that something is wrong, but given what we saw at the end of the season I don't really think so.BrentVU wrote: ↑Thu Dec 15, 2022 3:07 pm From the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:

Same role? A VU Alum coach leaving? CCL might have to explain this one...

Re: Source: Asst coach Norval McKenzie leaving for Georgia Tech
And just like that...
Deago Benson, a RB from Texas who visited Vanderbilt last week and who is still on Vandy's radar... has a new offer awaiting from Georgia Tech.
But Coaches Lea, Lustig, Lynch, Bailey and Bennett were all in the DFW area mid-week, so they may not be going down without a fight. I thought all that firepower in the DFW area might be a little more than needed for A.J. Newberry, who was already committed... now it makes a little more sense.
