Maxwell Worship declares for the NFL draft
He gave Vanderbilt five great years and even played in the Texas Bowl as a freshman. He graduated with a degree last May. He came back for a fifth season even though he didn't have to. He has NFL aspirations. All the best to him!

Re: Maxwell Worship declares for the NFL draft
I have lost track of the rules about declaring for the draft. The rules seem to be changing at a dizzying speed (at least to me, an old timer). Will someone please explain the impediments to Worship returning. Thanks.

Re: Maxwell Worship declares for the NFL draft
Worship has played five seasons, and even though one of those was the Covid season of 2020, I am pretty sure that means he is out of eligibility. His declaration for the NFL draft should not be interpreted as "I'm leaving early with eligibility left."LawoftheWest wrote: ↑Wed Nov 30, 2022 12:23 am Will someone please explain the impediments to Worship returning. Re: Maxwell Worship declares for the NFL draft
Ben Bresnahan has declared for the draft also. I think technically he could have come back for a sixth season since he didn't see action in 2018, but it would have been really surprising if he did; very few players come back for a sixth season (Michael Owusu being a recent exception).

Safety Justin Harris, who probably would have played a lot this season if not for an injury, has decided to "medically retire" from football. He had three years of eligibility left.

Re: Maxwell Worship declares for the NFL draft
From Jacob Brammer, the tackle from the portal who was a godsend to the offensive line this season, his fifth... "the coaching staff and support staff at Vanderbilt is second to none," he says... he is declaring for the draft.
