Stadium Question- Peanut Exposure

Post by MountainDore »

Does anyone know if peanuts are sold in the stadium? I have a couple of young relatives with severe peanut allergies that want to come to a game this fall, but their parents (understandably) don't want to run the risk of exposure if peanuts are sold.

I took a young son with numerous food allergies to a game in 2019.

Had to bring his own food, but he did fine. It wasn't very crowded (UNLV game; the stadium was a ghost town by Q4)

But I know various levels of exposure affect different people in different ways.

I don't recall seeing peanut shells littered about the place.

I'm pretty sure peanuts are sold at the stadium.

Most peanut eaters I have observed at games do drop shells around themselves.

Mask usage might (?) reduce, but not eliminate, food consumption in the stands.

Good luck to your relatives -- we need young fans.

That 's it! The new marketing slogan: "It's not very crowded."

Call athletic department and ask them.
As has been mentioned stadium is not crowded do sit away from the few people who might have peanuts.
Have fun.

I have 2 daughters with peanut allergies. They've gone to multiple games without problems. Mine can be around it, just not touch or consume it. If your relatives allergies are so severe they can't be around it, probably wouldn't be worth the risk.

I agree with the posters above: pretty sure peanuts are sold BUT for a non-SEC game, it's very easy to find a place to sit in the stadium with nobody sitting close to you. Unless it's a packed game, you can pretty much sit where you want, regardless where your tickets are. And if someone sits close by with peanuts, it's easy to move somewhere else.
Can't scamper or slither...but I used to swim.
