Hickman has really good stuff. In the first inning he did not nibble enough - and gave up hits on 2-strike pitches over the plate. In the second he nibbled too much - and UM is not going for the waste pitches. 40 pitches through 2 innings.
Eder or King are going to be getting warm. I hope we will make their pitcher work a little. At least until he can throw a strike with an offspeed pitch.

That's how you do it. Make him work, fall behind and then come over the middle.

Problem is their closer is really a starter, so...

If he works in his third start in Omaha - we will hit him.
And their "closer" throws what we like - fastballs.
Make this guy fall behind.

I feel a lot better after that homer. We didn't let the game get away.

I have Joe Fisher on TuneIn Radio. He was a bit ahead of TV but I paused it to synch up.

When Hickman's pitch count finally drives him out... are any of Fellows/Rocker/Brown available for a season ender?

On the bright side, Martin timed him up and smashed the ball.
UM made a great play. That was a double 98% of the time.

Second time through. Paul might time him up too.
