MLB opens Thursday

Post by Versus75 »

18 former VandyBoys played at least one MLB game last season. David Price has retired; hopefully some young guys will make it to the bigs this year.

Walker Buehler still on injured list.

Any other MLB-VU notes?

Kyle Wright was placed on the IL by the Braves, but it is considered a short-term move to give him more time to get ready for the season: https://www.batterypower.com/2023/3/26/ ... s-rotation.

JJ Bleday was optioned to AAA Las Vegas last week, but he'll be back in Oakland at some point:

If you are a T-Mobile cellular customer, T-Mobile is offering a free 2023 MLB subscription to their customers through their Tuesday App. Tomorrow is the 1st day that the offer can be redeemed thru the T-Mobile Tuesday app, and is usually only available to redeem for the 1 week.

It has been a while since I 1st created my MLB account, but I did use the same email and password as my T-Mobile account, and it must be done using the mobile app. Once logged in on your cellphone, you can also use the MLB subsription on your PC/laptop or using a streaming app such as Chromecast. The only caveat is to not log in on another carrier's phone service such as Verizon or AT&T as you will risk losing your free subscription from T-Mobile.

Volpe is going to be starting at SS for the Yankees. Too bad we missed out on him.

Could put together quite a team with the guys who took the pro money rather than become VandyBoys.

Here's a good story in the New York Post about the fateful dinner that did us in. I'm a Yankee fan and exicited to see how he does in pinstripes, but oh what coulda been...

The only down side is that regional blackouts still apply (and I can't get it to work with a VPN). Maybe if Bally Sports indeed goes under MLB will lift those for the app.
