Also lost to mid-majors today:

Georgia Tech stomped by Campbell
VCU leading Georgia 7-0
LSU getting dominated by Kennesaw State

Wright State in a close battle with highly ranked Virginia Tech

Columbia of the Ivy League stuns ranked Gonzaga

Pick one of the first three for our vicarious moral victory of the day.

8 of the 15 #3 seeds that played Friday defeated the #2 seed. We are not alone, but that doesn't make it any easier. None of the #1 seeds have lost. (Georgia Southern and Miami have yet to play.)

#3 San Diego ...... over ... Vanderbilt
#3 Campbell ....... over ... Georgia Tech
#3 Florida State .. over ... UCLA
#3 UConn .......... over ... Wake Forest
#3 Columbia ....... over ... Gonzaga
#3 Louisiana ...... over ... TCU
#3 Michigan ....... over ... Oregon
#3 VCU ............ over ... Georgia

Kennesaw had a huge lead and collapsed late to blow what would have been their biggest baseball win in program history. Michigan and Florida State winning doesn't seem like stunning upsets.
