Re: San Diego
We must score. A walk-off is my request.

Re: San Diego
Lost it in our 2 error first inning and our best hitters doing nothing in 9th with ruuner in scoring position. We could have won and I thought we we would, but I was wrong.

Re: San Diego
Too much of a hole with the early errors. Sad for Holton to have his worst outing in ages today of all days. Will require a Herculean effort to get out of the regional now. Seems highly unlikely.

Re: San Diego
3-2.
We had our chances. Bulger ripped the last one. Kind of wish we had let Bradfield run. We played tight. And it cost us. Especially early.
Maybe Hewitt moves to the 5-spot tomorrow?

Re: San Diego
Have to win 4 in a row without Holton. Based on our pitching depth and how inconsistent our hitting has been that seems just about impossible. I joked on another thread that we may not even play oregon st and that seems much more likely.
Tough year.

Re: San Diego
I wish we had really slowed the game down in the 9th. EBJ should have drawn five throws--Vaz should have taken a few pitches. Oh well, I wish we had thrown Little first today--and Holton tomorrow.

Re: San Diego
Nice swing by Bulger on that last out. Was a couple of feet away from being a walk-off double. Also good work by the pen, kept us in it. Was not to be today. We sucked for too many innings. Chances of winning the regional before today: 20%. Chances after today: 5% or less.

Re: San Diego
It would be nice if we don't lose too many guys to the portal.
(this is the wrong time to take a "get off my lawn!!" approach to bringing in new guys as needed)

Re: San Diego
You have to hit to win....you have to SWING to hit. Watching 3 straight strikes in a row is ridiculous!
