No sense complaining about announcers, Roanoke. They are just plain awful.

Coach kind of needs to bless them out in the dugout again. Maybe he'll save it for tomorrow.

Swinging at balls way out of the strike zone with a real chance to score. Watching slow ones right down the middle. I think we are sitting on fastballs again. And we are swinging at crummy ones after taking two off-speed strikes right down the middle.

Yeah, they did.

Once with the mitt out of the picture. Made it hard to see when he caught it.

It would not have surprised me to lose tonight but this pitching is unbelievable.

Reilly gets two strikes fast often - and then tries to make them chase and gets into trouble.

Ump calls strike three ball four. I'm getting tired of complaining about this ump - so I will stop. But he is killing us. And we are not letting him kill them - swinging at trash.

Very disappointing performance tonight. Basically every aspect of the game.

Season high for walks in the fourth inning. Uncrisp fielding. Undisciplined hitting. Just bad.

Sadly we have imploded on offense, on defense, and with our pitching. Hate to concede tonight, but have to wonder if we can regroup for game 3. Corbin needs to light a fire under them.

Another run scores on potential DP grounder.

Nelson Berkwich? Was he recently called up from the minors or something? LOL.

Not sure I've heard of him before tonight, but shows he pitched in 10 games.

Tonight was lost when we started Little. What we need to do the rest of the game is pitching--keep it from going out of control, and hitting-- bat aggresively and seem if we can generate some offense.

Tomorrow should be a whole different story.

Ravech talking about Berkwich getting "generous strikes" - I am getting close to turning off the sound.

They should be forced to re-listen to how biased they are. Berkwich did a great job - should have gotten out of the inning. Again - BAD fielding turns a perfect double play ball into an out at second. Young may need a new glove.

I hope we leave Berkwich in for a while. He looks sharp.

Berkwich did a GREAT job. Should have been out of inning with no runs if we turn DP.
Crooked number here. I'd like to see one of our kids smile.

Freshman pitchers who have had their struggles all year struggled to throw strikes. But it's not like MSU has been pounding the ball; only 4 hits, and 1 was the glove wedgie, 1 was the potential double play ball that hit Reilly's foot. The RBI single and the double have been the only hard hit balls, that's it. Assuming Vanderbilt doesn't come back tonight (remember Stanford?), then Rocker goes tomorrow night with the M&M&M boys rested and ready to go. Freshman pitching and poor defense have cost Vandy tonight...it's nothing MSU is doing. I feel very good about Vanderbilt's chances to win one more game.

Carter Young hasn't been the same since he hurt his shoulder, either on O or D. He's become something of a concern.

BREAKING NEWS: Miss State coach just said in his on-air interview that he'll use Landon Sims tonight. Let's pray he ends up doing that for at least 2 innings. That means they probably can't bridge Bednar to Sims tomorrow night.

Personally, unless our offense is able to string together a few runs and make this thing relatively close, to make that move necessary, I think that would be coaching malpractice.

I'm trying to figure out if it is the Arizona Diamondbacks or Baltimore Orioles.
