We are making up for our poor hitting with horrid fielding.

Didn’t throw home!?? Gooooood grief.

Maldonado should grab a bat and go to the on deck circle. Make a statement with the lineup.

Except for the HR, miscues have cost us the other runs

4-0 with more terrible fielding.I mean, this is the worst performance I have seen from a Vandy baseball team in a long time.

Still, we are not down 8-0. A run or two here and we may be within striking distance.

There it is.

Carter walks. Keegan blasts it out of here.

4-2 after 4. Striking distance. Even playing our worst four innings of the season.

No quit in these guys. There is plenty of time.

But this is going to burn the M's. Maldonado, Murphy and McElvain.

Got to string together some hits. Can’t rely solely on the long ball

As the announcers say, Gonzo swings at ball four. And then k's on the next pitch.

The little stuff matters. Baserunner would have helped. Our pitch identification and swing selection are not disciplined lately. That comes with pressing. But we need to get it back to win this game. We have dug ourselves a hole. Can only climb out by getting baserunners.

Stanford is getting the leadoff man on almost every inning. It is adding pressure on our d and pitchers.

Gonzo - a good fielding play for the second out. Holds runner at third.

Young swings at a terrible pitch and pops out after a Bradfield leadoff single. This is a big stage. I hate to see the mistakes.

Keegan follows with a sharp single up the middle. First and third, one out.

I think a dive might have caught it. But I wasn't sure he saw it?

There is a lot of wind.
