Fulmer vs Dansby

Post by HarpoMarx »

Dansby led off the 9th inning of a blowout win facing Fulmer. Fulmer got a 1-2 count on him before nailing Dansby in the back with what appeared to be a curveball. As he was walking it off around home plate, he glanced out at the mound 2 or 3 times with a slight grin. According to Chip Carey, Fulmer never looked at Dansby. Fulmer threw 2 wild pitches during the ensuing at bats, allowing Dansby to get to 3rd. He threw another pitch to the back wall, but Dansby did not come home for some reason. So, no wild pitch. Fulmer got out of the inning with no runs and no hits, but a HBP and a walk and 2 wild pitches. Not a great inning, but better than most of the 9 innings he has thrown this year.
