13 VandyBoys currently on MLB rosters!

I think this is a record for us. In past years, or maybe even this year, we have had at one time or another 13 guys in the big leagues. However, I don't recall ever having 13 guys in the bigs at one time like we do now. With recent call-ups, the following 13 are all on active rosters: Price, Flaherty, Minor, Gray, Casali, VerHagen, Kemp, Yaz, Beede, Buehler, Fulmer, Swanson and Reynolds. Disappointed Bowden, Wright and Weil weren't called up. I haven't checked minor league playoffs. Perhaps these three are in the playoffs and the parent club wants them to play in any playoff games.

Beede lost to Adam Wainwright today. He is the 157th to lose to Waino, joining a distinguished list.
