Demarco
Well who's gonna play center? Demarco is out at least 3 weeks. What about Martin and move Gonza back to 3rd. Maybe Cooper and play Scott or Gris in Left. I dont think Fentiss can do the job.

Re: Demarco
Really good questions Goose. I wish I had the answers for you but don't. I would rather see Gonzo used elsewhere than 3rd. I like Grisanti being switched around to fill in for Demarco. Grisanti has seemed improved batting this season.

Gonzalez has missed several games ...
... and I believe that establishing Harrison Ray as the regular may be why Martin and Ray switched positions.
If Ray and Gonzalez platooned and Ray played 2B when he was in the lineup, Martin would be switching from second to third every game or so.
Now I think the best idea is to put Martin in CF and play both Gonzalez and Ray.

Re: Demarco
Looks like a pretty good lineup for defense to me.

Re: Demarco
Demarco was heating up lately, but this team has so many quality pieces waiting for a shot.

Re: Demarco
When DeMar gets back he could put Scott on first and have a great hitting line-up but he is going to play Infante over there if it hairlips the devil.

More than likely DeMarco will go back to center and Davis will be the DH.Dorewithaflare wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2019 12:44 pm When DeMar gets back he could put Scott on first and have a great hitting line-up but he is going to play Infante over there if it hairlips the devil.

Re: Demarco
I agree, but we already have a great hitting lineup and one of the concerns is infield defense. Ethan Paul is holding his own so far, but Connor Kaiser isn't over there throwing darts anymore, and the other two infield defenders still need to prove themselves.Dorewithaflare wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2019 12:44 pm When DeMar gets back he could put Scott on first and have a great hitting line-up but he is going to play Infante over there if it hairlips the devil.

Davis is better in the field than Scott, so he's more likely to go back to left field and Scott return to DH.Haptown wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2019 2:33 pmMore than likely DeMarco will go back to center and Davis will be the DH.Dorewithaflare wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2019 12:44 pm When DeMar gets back he could put Scott on first and have a great hitting line-up but he is going to play Infante over there if it hairlips the devil.

Re: Demarco
Harrison Ray appears to be the main beneficiary in terms of getting more time on the diamond. He really responded at the plate over the weekend. Still needs to cut his strikeouts down and walk more, but his speed and athleticism are a real asset

hairlip the devil?
never heard "hairlips the devil"
what does it mean? Hard to tell how it was used.
