As an aside, I know the work can be dangerous, but it has to be extremely gratifying to be able to take down a wall like this.

Sadly, DWIII is turning over in his grave. His greatest (only?) contribution to Vanderbilt Stadium was a lot of bricks. Now THOSE are gone.
P.S. I still wonder what- if anything will be done to east and west sides. I read years-and-years ago that the way they were configured there wasn't room for chairbacks.

Yeah, all for THIS asymmetrical abomination. That weird skybox( )structure in the southwest corner reminds me of a Biloxi Motel 6.

I'd just like to see the stadium filled with Vanderbilt fans again in my lifetime.
The last time I remember that stadium filled with almost all Vanderbilt fans was the 1996 Notre Dame game.
Pretty sure that every sellout since was a sellout mainly because of the other team.

I was there_ Great game atmosphere and great game. A last quarter ND 1st down on a crucial 3rd down kept their winning drive alive.

Re: More video of the demolition of the South end zone
You MIGHT see it this fall because all the VU fans who sit in the South End Zone, like me, have been moved to the sidelines. There will be neither North or South End Zone seats this fall, meaning there are far fewer overall tickets. Every ticket that a VU fan buys means one seat less for the opponents except for whatever visitors allotment is required by the SEC. If I were Vanderbilt, I'd be sending out ticket reminders to their email list weekly, now, before the opponents start thinking about buying tickets. (I do see them tweeting about football tickets though.)historybill wrote: ↑Tue Mar 28, 2023 8:38 am I'd just like to see the stadium filled with Vanderbilt fans again in my lifetime.
