Ah, now we're into the early era of VandyMania, the decade of the 1990s. (Remember the Eric Locke saga, anyone? Scott Wells?) Unfortunately, Tennessee was in its heyday under Phil Fulmer in the 1990s, winning a natty in 1998 and coming close in 1997, and the Vols (and Alabama) were mostly cleaning up with the best players in the Midstate. Still, a good read by Mike Organ.
