What happened with the QB commit?
Very late in the cycle there was a commitment from a QB from Dallas Highland Park on December 18. BRENNAN STORER I think. But since the announcement, crickets. Hasn't appeared as a PWO or anything. Does anyone know what happened?
Re: What happened with the QB commit?
And Brennan's Twitter feed still has several VU-themed posts about his commitment to Vandy.

Re: What happened with the QB commit?
There's no reason to think that Storer is not coming to VU. By the same token, that could change at any time, up until the time he enrolls in classes. As I've said, nothing is ever "official" with PWO's until they enroll.
For that reason, keeping up with PWO's is bit of a fool's game, and only for the superfans like us. Unlike scholarship athletes, PWO commits are not bound by a signature on an NLI; and unlike scholarship athletes, the universities can't acknowledge them. Keeping track of PWO's has only been a thing for about two or three years now, since many athletes all started announcing their PWO "commitments" on social media, complete with fancy graphics and all.
Pretty much all schools, including Vandy, are quietly recruiting PWO's, providing guidance and resources to them, arranging for them to join their teams. We only find out about it if the PWO himself talks or tweets.

Re: What happened with the QB commit?
Highland Park HS had planned to have a signing day recognition ceremony for its college signees, but icy conditions in Texas a week ago caused a school cancellation. But the school still issued this, which seems to indicate Storer is (as of last Wednesday) still headed to Nashville to become a PWO Commodore.
Re: What happened with the QB commit?
I guess that his status as a PWO explains it all.
Thanks for following up Brent.
