Re: AP photo of construction at Vanderbilt Stadium
Big groundbreaking ceremony to be held there on February 8.
Re: AP photo of construction at Vanderbilt Stadium
Looks like there’s going to be a lot of Demolition and construction work going on simultaneously on both ends of the stadium.

I heard the big Video/scoreboard in the north endzone was taken down yesterday. Can anyone who has been by there this morning confirm?

Re: AP photo of construction at Vanderbilt Stadium
The final design appears to have only a few rows in the north end, one for ADA of course. There will be a walkway connection to Memorial plus access to ADA-compliant restrooms. Probably a small concession area. Most of the north end will be taken up with the multi-level basketball facility. The ground level will need to include the visitors' (football) locker room as well as game official lockers.
One concept had the scoreboard over the NW entry gate, but the more recent one shows an elongated digital board in the center of the north end zone, about where it is now, maybe a bit higher. Hopefully, they can do the archways you mentioned.

If construction will not be completed by fall, will the stadium be completed to a point for use in the 2023 season or will home games be played elsewhere?

Re: AP photo of construction at Vanderbilt Stadium
The current plan is for demolition of the south end zone to begin at the conclusion of the coming football season. The north end zone construction won't be complete until 2024, but obviously doesn't affect many seats. There are no plans to play home games elsewhere (although VU will open the 2024 season playing Virginia Tech at Nissan Stadium, as announced some time ago unrelated to construction).coachinwaiting wrote: ↑Fri Jan 20, 2023 11:15 am If construction will not be completed by fall, will the stadium be completed to a point for use in the 2023 season or will home games be played elsewhere?

Will there be any big scoreboard for this coming season? Set up in a corner?
