ACC football goes to one division…

… deformed the 2023 season.

3 permanent opponents / 5 of the others year 1 and 5 of the others in year 2.

Top 2 teams play in the championship game.


Wonder if SEC will follow suit BEFORE Texas and Oklahoma join the conference.

Interesting ... I was thinking the NCAA had a rule a that a conference must play a full round-robin schedule to hold a championship game if it does not have two divisions. Maybe that's changed?

The rule was changed last month.

A similar formula would work in the SEC, but it would probably take a 9-game schedule that the SEC office is pushing for. 3-6-6 would get the same result when the league is 16 teams
