He is a big time name who can help groom players for the next level and he has sold black players on the idea that going to a historically black school isn't a dead-end for a football career post-college. He must be might persuasive. The NIL thing may factor in because Deion brings publicity to the program which makes NIL partners more willing to sign up a kid going to JSU. But that's just a guess.
