Likely based on some truths with a little fiction tossed in for effect. When Graham was released from ASU several of their players openly admitted they thought he was too strict and it kept them tight in practice and in games, whereas Herm was looser and allowed their swag in the locker room and on field. Not a single player (that I can recall) from his 6 year tenure at ASU said anything about him addressing players with personal verbal attacks or being condescending towards them.

Gives us some hope about next year. If they have a ton of starters transfer, should be easier for us, anyway.

Unfortunately I think a sign of the times with attitudes from coaching staff with the transfer portal. Probably not as openly expressed as with Graham, but in the back of minds of coaches with respect or lack of for players down the depth chart. If they transfer out or quit it frees up a spot to perhaps get a better player in free agency.
