We're now four months from the start of the season. Riley Wallace or Deuce Wallace?

I really hope Wallace comes through in a big way, but think Neal will be the one.

Well I think Neal has the lead, but only because of Wallace's injury and not going through all of camp. I think it is a tossup at this point way too early to tell. Maybe a last minute decision.

Like CBJ's supposed tough, last minute decision to start Jay Cutler instead of Benji Walker.

I have heard third-hand that Neal is definitely the favorite to start.

I think missing a year hurt the Deuce but he is a great QB.

I don't think there is any way Neal came here to be a back up. They might be saying it's a competition but with Wallace missing last year and Neal's vast experience I think it's a lock already.

Exactly. Had Wallace not got in trouble and missed the entire season then it would likely be a different scenario, but this is going to be a no brainer.

Maybe an option c for 'Other'. I suppose it is possible for someone else to move up as there are 7 QB's listed on the roster - though Hassan should probably be changed to a WR (as I was informed in another thread)

I think if it truly is a close race they will start Neal because of his game experience and because of the schedule. If the we had a couple of “cupcakes” to play in the first two games then they may have started Wallace to get him some experience before the tougher competition. Unfortunately I’d say it’s a safe bet that they will both get playing time year. It’s very difficult to go the entire season with just one QB.
