Well crap. Sad for us, but happy for Pippen. I hope he does get drafted high. But I'd rather him come for his senior year.

Next year should be interesting. Given the transfer portal news and recent scholarships I'm not surprised. They won't be as talented as Scotty, but hopefully they will be more effective if we run more of a system on offense instead of freestyle pick and roll. Offensive strategy and system can help us replace a playmaker

We beat Belmont by double digits with SPjr scoring 10 and going 0-3 from three.
We beat LSU on a night SPjr scored 7 points and going 0-6 from three.
We beat Pitt on the road with SPjr scoring 8, 0-3 from three.

I wish SPjr all the best in his future endeavors but can see a path for the program to survive and thrive.

True. Though, in those games (and pretty much every game) Pippen drew the opponent’s best defender and often double or sometimes triple teams. He effectively ran the offense very efficiently even when not scoring at his best and had become quite a capable defender. I’m not saying that you are wrong to assert there is a path forward for VU. However, I also don’t think Pippen’s loss should be trivialized by a few cherry-picked box scores. He was definitely one of the best to ever don the black and gold for VU.

Best wishes to SPJ and thanks for being a Commodore. He's the last of Bryce Drew's major impact players to leave us. Stack will be relying solely upon his own recruits next year and it will be interesting to see if we can come close to our record in 2021-22.

Thank you for the memories, SPJ. Thanks for being a Commodore - forever. I'll be following you and cheering for you. Stay connected. And, thanks for coming back for the 2021-22 season. You've made a difference.

There are certain guys that come through your program that are just fun to watch. Scotty Pippen Jr. was fun to watch. I thank him for his commitment to Vandy and his hard work and leadership. In my mind he will be one of the greats along with:

Barry Goheen
Scott Draud
Billy McCaffrey
Ronnie Mac
Shan Foster
Derrick Byars
Jeffrey Taylor
John Jenkins
Saben Lee
Aaron Neismith
Scotty Pippen Jr.

He wasn't one of our top players of all time, but I absolutely loved watching Steve Tchiengang play. Those Thunder Threes....
