Re: Vandy-Bama SECT Thread
the game is fixed. Robbins called for a non foul. might as well call it a day we are getting mauled and then called for a foul that isn't there

Chatman and Robbins whistled for three apiece. Bama hacking and slashing like it’s an action RPG. Screw this.

Re: Vandy-Bama SECT Thread
Bama came into this game like a street fight. They hit us in the face, so to speak, got away with it, and we've been rattled ever since. The refs are not helping at all, but we're disrupted and have no answer for their physical play.

Re: Vandy-Bama SECT Thread
Refs are crushing us.
It is very physical. But Bama is intentionally roughing us up and getting away with it.
And yet Robbins and Chatman have 3.
It is not setting up well. I think we need to get Thomas in and get him hot.

ok time to turn this game off. bamas best player hasn't played because of foul trouble so it's just not our players. But we are down 14. game over

They would not have called that Wright reach in on the other end. Have to guffaw at Dane Bradshaw saying Bama has played a “cleaner” game. Suppose it depends on your definition.

I'm not going to gripe if Bama wins fair and square. They did beat Gonzaga and have the toughest schedule in the nation. But this officiating is a farce.UltimateVUFan wrote: ↑Thu Mar 10, 2022 8:34 pm Chatman and Robbins whistled for three apiece. Bama hacking and slashing like it’s an action RPG. Screw this.

the officials aren't ideal. But if we are honest, it's fair and square. They adjusted and we didn't and now we are in a big hole

Are moving screens legal now ? Bama is leading guys through the paint like blocking for a running back.

Re: Vandy-Bama SECT Thread
Have to disagree. Disparity in the amount of contact being called. The Chatman “charge”? The Robbins “foul” as he is knocked to the floor? Both teams are playing physical, but VU out of necessity and in response. And every response is being called, while Bama has been allowed to initiate all night with minimal calls. Refs are protecting a projected tourney team.Vandy187187 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 10, 2022 8:46 pm the officials aren't ideal. But if we are honest, it's fair and square. they aren't calling hand checks. only body contact. they are handsy on us and pushing us around. We are not playing the same game.UltimateVUFan wrote: ↑Thu Mar 10, 2022 8:50 pmHave to disagree. Re: Vandy-Bama SECT Thread
26 % from the floor just won't get it done . Second half obviously has to be a different game in so many ways. Fouls about even 15 vs 14 , but it is the uncalled fouls that are killing us. We have to play tough defense without so much as giving a Bama player a dirty look; Chatman and Robbins with three. Apparently Robbins didn't know it was a foul to allow yourself to be thrown to the floor by an opponent.
