NFL regular season ends in Nashville

The Saints pulled out the win over the Steelers, and the Colts rallied late to beat the Giants, which set up the obvious Colts-Titans matchup for SNF. The last time the Titans hosted SNF was also against the Colts in 2009.

Nashville will buzzing this week with the remarkable story of the Titans four game winning streak and chance to win and get in the playoffs.

If the Titans win...
they are the #6 seed with a Texans win over the Jags...
they are the #4 seed with a Texans loss and the Ravens (Browns) and Patriots (Jets) win...
they are the #3 seed with a Texans loss and one of the other two loses...
they are the #2 seed with all three losing.

It will be a really tough game missing two of our best defensive players (Ryan and Casey), but the Colts are pretty banged up as well. It will be close to freezing Sunday night, which should help a more run-oriented offense like ours. I prefer Mariota to start, obviously, but Gabbert looked decent yesterday.

If you ever wanted to go to a Titans home game, this is the one to go to.

The weather forecast is calling for 47 degrees and a 100% chance of rain. While it isn't great weather for the fans, it should help the Titans out quite a bit. The Titans proved they can play in the rain against the Giants, and it should slow down Luck and company significantly.

Still not sure if Mariota will get to play or not. While I hope he does, I think we would be fine with Gabbert if it is raining all game (he did fine in Miami is similar conditions).

This is essentially a playoff game, and I hope the fans in Middle TN sell the place out. I am sure Indy will bring a large group of fans as well.

It was a terrific environment, and the football fans of middle TN came out in droves to support them.

It's not like the Titans had much success against Manning either. Those teams are really tough to beat without a dynamic, high-scoring offense, and the Titans just have never been that type of team.

Or anybody else historically. Did you know that Jeff Fisher only had SIX winning seasons in 16 years?

But as long as the Titans have that highly respected medical school and law school and school of teacher education plus a powerhouse baseball program... wait... they don't don't have any of that. All they have is football? And this best coach they ever had went 6 of 16 on winning seasons? That's 27%
