Re: What if it's raining tonight?
It isn't going to rain tonight. Dark Sky app (really good for day-of hourly forecast) has only 5% chance of rain at start and zeros through to midnight. Thanks for the tip. Does the app run your battery down like weather.com does? #WhistlerBlows No I don't find that it drains battery, but it mildly...

What if it's raining tonight?
Anybody heard about a contingency plan for a game tomorrow if needed?

Re: He stuck with Fellows too long
I totally disagree the idea last night was to save the pen and for the most part we did that. This is a three game series and if Raby can just pitch ok tonight the numbers are in our favor these last two games. I disagree with you on this. A best of 3, loser misses Omaha? You have win every game. 2...

Re: Well, I made it through two batters then hit mute
Y'all just don't get it. The opposing pitchers HATE IT, especially when they get tired or come in a pressure situation. Notice when the whistling is its most intense, good things happen for the Vandyboys. I'm not so sure. It would be hard to classify losing a home super regional game on a walk-off ...

He stuck with Fellows too long
He was obviously struggling and instead of sending the pitching coach out there to give him a sermon, a different pitcher could have been warming up and the change made.
Even with all the other mistakes (fielding errors) etc - this loss is on Corbs. Sometimes he is stubborn to a fault.

Re: Game 1
I feel good about our chances. Not using up arms in Hoover turned out to be to our advantage in a big way. Raby has pitched less than 2 complete innings in the entire post-season so far.

I like our chances, as long as it ends tonight and doesn't linger on until Monday.
Would love some infield seats to the super.

Re: Vanderbilt-Saint John's Friday
Great win. Fellows was a stud. Paul had a tough day in the field. I doubt we'll see that again. Grounders and line drives really jump off metal bats. D-1 NCAA baseball should consider going back to wood bats. If D2 and 3 and juco ball are too broke to switch back, fine, but with the power of top d-...

Re: Vanderbilt-Texas A&M Tuesday
I saw Scott Rolen in his prime. 8 time Gold Glove.
He could have made the play in his sleep.
Rolen fun fact: he was Mr Basketball in Indiana and signed with Georgia for hoops before deciding on pro baseball instead.

Re: Vanderbilt-Texas A&M Tuesday
Is there a next tournament? Is it conceivable we don't get any bid at all? The announcers today felt we were in win or lose. With our strength of schedule and above .500 in the SEC, we should be in. A couple of wins in Hoover maybe could have improved our NCAA seed though. Anybody feel otherwise?

Re: Vanderbilt-Texas A&M Tuesday
Even though our pitching was not a disaster, were we really trying to advance or was Corbs actually trying to save our pitching for the next tournament?
Brown's ERA was over 6 and Gillis almost as high.
I don't think advancing was a priority. Am I taking crazy pills?

Re: Vanderbilt-Texas A&M Tuesday
Hated to see the bases left loaded but the whistler isn't there and that itself is a huge major plus. The game can be viewed with the sound on.

How many batters too long was Gillis left in?
I was sort of watching several different shows but it seemed like after one good inning, Gillis was in trouble the rest of his stint until the lead was finally lost.
Also, was that Mike Organ doing play by play for TV? If so, his hatred for VU didn't show through at all.

Re: Vandy-Tennessee Saturday
It's great to see the team getting back on track and having some fun playing ball. Beating the evil orange is always fun. I almost didn't mind listening to their Homer announcers since we won. And did you know Raby is from Knoxville and played at Farragut? Bob kessling only said it 50 times in 3 hou...

Re: Julian& Coach
He wasn't the pitchers who gave up 10, 8, 11, and 14 in four of our recent losses. Unless whoever his replacement is can get double digit RBIs every game, benching him won't solve much. It's the "and coach" part the needs to be looked at. I'm one of Corbs' biggest fans but something isn't ...

Re: Mularkey gone
"A great job" - ?? They lost to a bunch of bottom feeders and almost lost to the 0-16 Browns. It took a miracle fluke play to win a wild card game. Most titans PSL holders I know found Mulakey and his staff to be far from "great." I have no favorite NFL team, so I'm just looking ...
