Re: Anyone see the great show of spotsman ship by the viles?

That having been said, I think Vandy_Law has it right that they are in a position right now where 66-24 to 59-24 may make a difference in some polls and ultimately landing them in the playoffs. I can not imagine any selection committee voter would say, “Geez, UT only beat Missouri 59-24 instead of ...

Re: Anyone see the great show of spotsman ship by the viles?

Georgia could have blown out UT last week. Georgia dominated that game and could have won by more than 14. Kirby Smart mainly ran the ball in the second half to keep the clock moving and didn’t try any chunk-type plays. But the next week Huippel is classless and runs the score up on Missouri. Shamef...

Re: UtK makes history

It’s major wishful thinking to think Vanderbilt would have a ghost of a chance of beating UT. However Missouri might give them a game. Missouri played close games against Georgia and Kentucky. Missouri has a stout pass rush. They get to the quarterback and give him problems. Plus UT might have a maj...

Re: Jordan Rodgers puts on a tennessee hat

Sort of like how in televised SEC basketball games that Barry Booker would announce, he would always go out of his way to make it seem like he wasn’t favoring Vanderbilt. I remember one game when Vanderbilt was playing Georgia, Barry said in his pregame remarks, “I’m really impressed with this team,...

Why run out of the shotgun on 4th and 1?

I don’t understand the logic of lining up in the shotgun when it’s an obvious running down and everyone in the stadium knows you’re going to run it. Wright could have lined up right behind the center and done a quarterback sneak and 95 percent chance he gets the first down. The Titans have done the ...

Re: OT: You can pre-order a commemorative book celebrating the Vols' season

I think they may overlook Kentucky. Especially since the week after that game they have Georgia. You know they’re going to be looking past Kentucky and expecting the Georgia game to be for the SEC East title. Kentucky can beat UT. They almost did last year. The game went down to the wire. Please ple...

Re: We should have hired an offense-oriented coach

We hired the defensive coach from Notre Dame, which always had a strong defense (not looking so strong this year though), and our defense is our weakest point. You would think a defensive coach would be able to work with the DC he hired to put our defense in better positions to be successful. We don...

Re: I don’t like the way the schedule was made this year

I would love to know why anyone thinks we are going to lose a ton of guys, who are contributing, to the portal. And that is my caveat, who are contributing. Probably should add, and are expected to contribute next year. I wasn't surprised by the losses last year, in CCL's first year, given how he h...

Stupid replay officials

I was flipping back and forth between the Vanderbilt game and the UT game yesterday. There were two plays the replay officials were involved in that really irritated me. During the Vanderbilt game, Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett completed an amazing pass at the sidelines to a receiver on a thir...

I don’t like the way the schedule was made this year

The schedule this year was awful for Vanderbilt. The SEC controls the SEC schedule but I wish we had spaced out our nonconference games. We had all our nonconference games at the start of the season. We were able to win three out of the four nonconference games, but then we had probably the three st...

Re: Typical UT BS!!

If true it coforms to what is expected at UT: win at any cost. They kicked the 2 previous offender voff the team, so maybe they will be consistent. Weren’t the two previous offenders backups who hardly ever got any playing time anyway? It’s easy to kick backup players off the team. A starter who th...

Re: Where will Our SEC W come from?

SC beat Kentucky. They’re better than I thought.

Missouri has a strong pass rush and almost beat Georgia.

I don’t think we can stop Florida’s passing game.

Kentucky will blow us out if Levis is back. Otherwise it might be a close game.

Too bad we don’t play Auburn this year.

Touchdown plays were incredible Saturday

We throw a screen pass to McGowan at the sidelines. There are two Ole Miss defenders within a couple of yards of him. I’m thinking, someone didn’t get their man blocked; or Swann didn’t throw it to the right receiver. Maybe we can get a couple of yards … But McGowan turns on the jets and speeds righ...

Re: VU is 36.5-point underdog to Georgia, ranked No. 1 in AP

The outcome of Alabama/UtK will be interesting. Will we see the ritual evisceration of orange hopes and dreams to which we are accustomed? As much as i hate to admit it, I think the cards are falling perfectly in place for UT to win the SEC and make a run at the national championship. With Alabama'...

Re: VU is 36.5-point underdog to Georgia, ranked No. 1 in AP

Missouri was able to get pressure on Georgia's quarterback Stetson Bennett all game long. We don't have a good pass rush so I don't know if we would be able to replicate that. As far as UT-Alabama, consider that if UT beats Alabama, and Ole Miss beats Alabama, which I think could happen as long as B...

Re: Thoughts on Vandy's loss to Ole Miss

The Ole Miss defenders were holding onto our receivers and interfering with them through the game. One of Shepherd's big catches came after the Ole Miss defender was hanging onto him and all over him as he ran his route. Shepherd shoved him and then caught the ball. The TV commentators (Sorry, I wa...
